Beer: A Tool for Change?
Beer can be a vehicle for change. If you think that is nonsense, just look at what happened yesterday in Australia. One of the darkest and most heated conflicts in the modern world was soothed temporarily by the simple gift of beer. No I'm not talking about the War on Terror, but the eternal war between the celebs and the paparrazi!
It seems that the army of paparrazi camped out beside the home of Nicole Kidman, awaiting a chance at a "money shot" of the beautiful actress and her soon-to-be-husband, Keith Urban, were sent a peace offering of...beer! The gift soothed the savage hordes of photgraphers and offered a bit of tranquil comraderie between two deeply conflicted opponents.
Now if we can only work on Al Quaeda with this tool...

I'm with you! There's only one potential problem. Those die-hard Islamic types don't drink alcohol at all...
Of course, that didn't stop Mohammad Atta and his crew from going out to the pub and getting wasted on the night of September 10th, 2001. Too bad... no virgins for sinners!
Mmmm...beer.
Here's hoping Nicole and Keith's union lasts longer than Renee Zellwigger and Kenny Chesney's!
Of course, I wouldn't wish anyone anything but the best as they begin their journey as man and wife, but I have little hope for the Hollywood marriages (and Country Music stars aren't so different than Hollywood actors, anymore!).
The Zellwigger/Chesney union was short even by those standards. Zellwigger always struck me as somewhat kooky.
Come to think of it, though, if Nicole married kooky Cruise...
Maggie,
Thanks and same to you!
I was in Clintwood last week with my family. I was going to email you to see if we could get together but didn't know for sure if we'd make it there or when (we were kinda winging it...). Had a great time! Visited Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia and Ohio, before returning to Michigan. Whew!
